Well. That was certainly rousing, wasn't it? One can never really quite know what to expect. On the other hand, at least some of the bigger picture is finally known. [There was a bit of a pause as he took a sip from a cup of coffee.] I do hope that everyone is well.

Perhaps now there will be a bit of a calm since those do tend to be nice before the next big storm.

Especially when Nitiri's presence threatened the lives of a good portion of the entire city. They can't just tell us it's completely harmless, only to have unforeseen consequences happen. [that is way too Cobb for her tastes, and the look on her face shows that. Also, robot dreams, what.] Nothing we can do but hope you're right. And keep doing what we're doing, of course.

[fine, he can mark her a seat. But if it has anything more than her name written on it, she's going to make a sign for him next time that's just as ridiculous.]

That's where my reservations are as well. What else are they not telling us? Could there possibly be someone even more powerful than those we've already met? I can understand not wanting to share to a certain degree but we're stuck in this now, whether they like it or not. A little sharing isn't too much to ask, I wouldn't think. I don't think asking for a little more specific information is asking for too much. [It doees bring about comparisons to Cobb though, doesn't it. He'd be right at home. And those robot dreams? Oh. Nothing. Robot dreams and electric sheep are just food for thought.]

[Is that a promise? Because he'll make it the most ridiculous thing he can then.]

If there's someone worse than Nitiri, what does that pose for us in the near future? From what I've gathered, she isn't about to back down. I don't think it is either; the fact that they're all holding out like this tells me there's something going on behind the scenes. [hopefully he doesn't show up out of spite. How would robot dreams even work?]

[Really. Will he now?]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
That's what is a bit worrisome. She certainly isn't the kind to just give up after one go and if there is something going on behind the scenes, how big is it? Are we bound for any more last-minute surprises? Really, it wouldn't be so bad if they'd just start telling us so that we can be better prepared. [...and yet if he does, it wouldn't be surprising at all. Robot dreams would work like programming, perhaps. What do robots even dream of?]

[He will. Just for her~]

It's bigger than us, at least. We know that much for sure. Do you think if we went about it in a more roundabout way, we could get something out of them? [that is indeed how spite works. You could ask a robot. Maybe they don't dream at all.]

[Now that's how you show affection. Well done.]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
That might be worth a try. The direct route certainly hasn't been working at all. Besides. The worst that could happen is that we learn nothing new. [Spite is such a powerful tool, too. ...are there any robots around?]

[What can he say? He's such a gentleman like that.]
buildingreality: (look a distraction!)

[personal profile] buildingreality 2011-10-04 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Have you talked to the techs at all yet? [...doubtful. Who builds robots around here?]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately no. I seem to have bad timing. Next time, though, I'll make an effort to do so. [Robot builders? Mad scientists? There's probably a few of them running around.]
buildingreality: (finding you hilarious)

[personal profile] buildingreality 2011-10-04 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Do so. If nothing else, they're somewhat interesting as far as the extent to which they'll go to reject requests for information. [...probably. Let's find one!]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
It'll be interesting to see. At the very least, if we're annoying enough perhaps they'll just give up the information to get us to shut up. [Perfect! I'll put up a wanted ad.]
buildingreality: (in awe)

[personal profile] buildingreality 2011-10-05 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe it's worth a shot. [a faint smile, and accompanying chuckle.] Next chance we get, then. [sounds good. :|b]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Let's see who gets the most information, shall we? [A little competition, if you will.]
buildingreality: (more than a little proud)

[personal profile] buildingreality 2011-10-05 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
[her eyebrows rise almost imperceptibly, but a smile curves her mouth.] I think I can handle that.

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Let's hope so. Don't let me down. [Not that he expects her to.]
buildingreality: (finding you hilarious)

[personal profile] buildingreality 2011-10-05 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
I won't. [he taught her well; she wouldn't dare disappoint.]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Good. Because I have no doubts that you won't. [Now he'll have to live up to expectations.]
buildingreality: (Default)

[personal profile] buildingreality 2011-10-05 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
You're sure you can handle this? [she's teasing, if subtly.]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
We can only hope so. [He's smirking as he's speaking.]
buildingreality: (more than a little proud)

[personal profile] buildingreality 2011-10-05 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'll take your word for it. [she'll match his smirk.]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
It's a good word to take. [It's a good smirk to match.]

[identity profile] defyantigravity.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm glad we've got that covered then.
